LS Mtron Introduces New Models of Its LSG-V Vertical Injection Molding Machines

LS Mtron Injection Molding Machines USA, Duluth, Georgia, has added several new models to its line of LSG-V Vertical Injection Molding Machines, providing more options for advanced injection molding. Now available in sizes ranging from 35-660 US tons, the LSG-V is a fully-equipped, smart, hybrid machine for companies looking to advance production capabilities while also maintaining an environmentally responsible approach to plastics processing.

The LSG-V (known outside North America as the WIZ-VR II) was previously available in three models, from 100 to 350 tons and only as vertical rotary machines. The newly expanded line includes 13 models of machines ranging from 35-660 tons, with options for vertical or horizontal injection, and rotary table, shuttle or single station designs.

The LSG-V line is designed to give customers superior molding capabilities compared to other vertical injection molding machines due to its level of precision and energy efficiency. Not only is its hybrid system intuitive and easy to operate, but it is also equipped with features for enhanced operator safety.

The LSG-V Series improves productivity by reducing overall cycle time by enabling operators to simultaneously perform product take-out and insertion processes during injection. In addition, the machine achieves precise molding using servo motors and drivers, minimizing product defects during production. It also offers a wide range of injection specifications, such as speed and pressure, to meet customer needs.

Other features include:

  • A servo pump system reduces power consumption.
  • The closed-loop system uses a high-powered AC servo motor for excellent reproducibility (within 0.1%) through feedback control.
  • The precision rotation motor enables low noise and precise control.
  • By optimizing hydraulic oil tanks and lines, the LSG-V reduces operating flow (by approximately 45%) and cooling water consumption (by approximately 30%), resulting in lower operating and maintenance costs – and improved sustainability.

Constructed with a four-post tie-bar structure, the LSG-V offers outstanding durability and stability. Additionally, users gain capacity with support for up to four injection fixtures, and the slide-type guide bar design minimizes transfer resistance, making the LSG-V fully optimized for precision molding.
