Routsis Training, Dracut, Massachusetts, has announced the passing of its founder, Andrew “Andy” Routsis, on November 4, 2021. Routsis spent his lifetime working in the plastics industry he loved, and he was a leader in the industry for over 40 years. Through Routsis Training, he provided training and guidance to companies of all sizes around the world. He enjoyed working, helping and forging relationships with everyone, as well as working with his team to provide industry-leading training and information products.
Routsis served as an adjunct professor at the University of Massachusetts Lowell’s Department of Plastics Engineering, according to a letter on the company’s website. His training materials were utilized in more than 2,800 companies in 37 countries.
Steve Murphy will step in to lead Routsis Training. Murphy has more than 40 years of experience in the plastics industry and worked with Routsis and the team at Routsis Training for many years. The company will continue its founder’s legacy of providing meaningful training and information to the plastics industry.
