2020 marks a special occasion for Westec Plastics Corporation, a custom plastic injection molder in Livermore, California. After celebrating being in business for 50 years, the company is launching its new brand identity.
Since inception in 1969, the Westec logo has remained relatively unchanged. The colors of the company’s rebrand stay the same, with a larger emphasis on orange to represent creativity and success through the years. The growth the company has experienced over the last few years sparked the need for its identity to be updated to serve as a better embodiment of the brand today.
The new logo rebrands the company to better portray the traits it embraces as a progressive custom injection molder and is a nod to the partnership the company strives for with customers. The overlapping element in the logo represents the handshake of two companies working together toward the same goal. With Westec, clients experience a no-nonsense, personable approach from an experienced team, in keeping with the company’s motto: Your Concept, Our Expertise, One Partnership. Westec’s website, messaging and social media also have been updated to match the new brand identity.
The company is in the process of expanding its ISO Class 8 molding clean room to include one more machine and a full gowning area. It is also adding an ISO Class 7 secondary operations cleanroom — in addition to the ISO Class 6 already in place. Westec has added multiple new pad printers, a roll printer, several ultrasonic welders, a vibration welder and laser engraver.
In addition, the company is taking over another 9,200 sq. ft. of space during the first quarter of 2020.
