Aurora Plastics, a global provider of PVC compounds headquartered in Streetsboro, Ohio, has unveiled the recent expansion and renovation of their 60,000-sq.-ft. manufacturing facility in Pasadena, Texas. The investment marks the company’s commitment to expanding the services and products for customers in the western and southern US.
The renovated plant includes the latest in blending, controls and automation. The upgrades also include a new lab and product testing capabilities. The plant initially will produce Aurora Plastics’ rigid PVC product line, AuroraTec™, and will continue to offer bagging and export services.
Aurora Plastics acquired the facility from JPI South in May 2018 and unveiled the renovations in a February 2019 ceremony. Attendees included Aurora Plastics board of directors and executive team members, as well as Mayor Jeff Wagner of Pasadena, Texas. “Our Pasadena team did an outstanding job of delivering this important project in a very short period of time,” said Darrell Hughes, chief executive officer, Aurora Plastics.
