Accurate Molded Plastics, Coeur dAlene, Idaho, has announced the company will be doing business under a new name: Cascadia Custom Molding.
Accurate Molded Plastics acquired Mold-Rite, Inc., in May 2016 and both companies now will be known as Cascadia Custom Molding. Cascadia will continue to have two manufacturing locations: Coeur dAlene, Idaho, and Woodinville, Washington.
Cascadia offers mold design, mold construction and custom injection molding and is known for delivering to precise molding specifications. The company also perform a variety of secondary operations, such as machining, sonic welding and pad printing. With more than 40 years of experience, Cascadia offers increased reliability, security and flexibility for its customers.
We are continuing to invest in state-of-the-art equipment, such as a 550-ton two-shot injection machine, vision systems and collaborative robots, said Dale Meyer, Cascadias CEO. In spring 2019, we will be upgrading facilities and consolidating the Woodinville location to a 50,000-square-foot space.
Cascadia has dedicated on-site tooling departments in both locations with highly skilled moldmakers supported by an active apprentice program. This in-house expertise benefits customers by reducing costs (including the new tariffs), lead times and mitigating manufacturing risks.
