Sun Plastech Inc., Parsippany, New Jersey, has signed an agreement to purchase the assets of Novachem, a manufacturer of purging compounds located in Bridgeport, Connecticut. The acquisition further expands Sun Plastech’s position as the leading provider of purging compounds in the plastics industry.

Sun Plastech Inc. manufactures and distributes the Asaclean purging compound. Established in 1996, the company serves thermoplastic injection molders and extruders across North and South America. It is a subsidiary of Asahi Kasei Chemicals Corp. Novachem has manufactured and distributed the SuperNova™ and Novapurge lines of chemical purging compounds and the InstaPurge® line of mechanical purges since 1989.
