Smart Hot Runner Temperature Control System from PCS Gives Interactive Mold View, Leak Detection, Real-Time Updates

Press release submitted on behalf of PCS.

The new TC5600 temperature controller from PCS provides interactive mold views, real-time updates and leak detection to save molders money by reducing downtime.

Featuring user-friendly on-screen setup and file configuration, the TC5600 helps molders dial in their hot runner systems with a number of advanced insights. Users can:

  • Instantly load configuration files into mold view.
  • See their mold view automatically refresh for continuous monitoring.
  • Control and monitor remotely via tablet, smartphone or PC.
  • Quickly identify internal material leaks.
  • Assess mold aging data.

Available in 12, 24, 36, 48, 60 and 72 zones, the TC5600’s Easy View feature lets the operator view mold structure and temperature distribution. The Leak Detection function detects material leaks inside the hot runner system to head off long, expensive repairs. The TC5600 can identify abnormal currents and pre-check for leakage issues that can lead to material loss and uneven molding.

All features, from mold diagnostics to synchronous heating/cooling and more, are controlled through the 15.6″ touchscreen. Operation logs record interactions between operators and the system – for example, parameter adjustments performed by operators. This helps track the actual operations of users within the system, providing insights into their behavioral patterns and habits.
