PCS Company Earns Top Michigan Workplace Honor for Third Straight Year

Press release submitted on behalf of PCS.

The PCS Company has been named a top Michigan workplace for 2025, the third consecutive year the supplier of mold bases and molding equipment has been so recognized.

The award, part of the nationwide Top Workplaces program, is based on surveys of employees in three size tiers (50-149 employees, 150-499 employees and more than 500 employees). Michigan’s results are published by the Detroit Free Press, which recognized 198 Michigan workplaces in 2024 and 201 this year.

“Our team is packed with passionate, forward-thinking movers,” explained PCS President Angela Elsey. “I cannot think of a more deserving team for this award, and I am honored to support this team. Our diligent work to build a high-performing team has created a fully invested workforce over the past several years. Our team members are willing to be part of the solution versus part of the problem.”

The survey recognizes businesses across many industries. “To be named a top workplace when we are going up against tech, real estate, financial and other companies is a huge accomplishment as a manufacturing company,” Elsey added.

PCS was started in 1950 as a family-owned business, R & S Tool, which was involved with the manufacturing of cutting tools out of Warren, Michigan. In 1968, PCS Company was established and R & S Tool merged into it. P-C-S stands for pins, cores and sleeves, as these are the original items manufactured.

“As we celebrate our 75th anniversary, the PCS Company remains a unique organization,” Elsey said. “With 120 employees at our headquarters in Fraser, Michigan, we function very much like a family business.”
