New Conair PowerFill Pro: Portable, Powerful, Plug-In Conveying Solution for Small Processors, Work Cells

Press release submitted on behalf of Conair.

The new Conair PowerFill Pro conveying system combines the essentials of a small, central conveying system – a powerful vacuum pump, dust collector, and an intelligent, touchscreen control – into a compact and portable cabinet that can be rapidly installed to serve up to eight receivers. The successor to the PowerFill 8, the new PowerFill Pro offers more power, more configurability, and new pump options to deliver throughputs up to 7,000 lbs./hr. over distances up to 300 feet.

Featuring all-new control hardware and a four-inch color touchscreen that incorporates Conair’s “common control” user interface, the PowerFill Pro conveying system easily serves up to eight material receivers through flexible vacuum conveying hoses, line valves, manifolds, or other conveying hardware. Making electrical and communications connections between conveying components is simple, thanks to plug-and-play cables that run from receivers and valves to the PowerFill Pro unit’s I/O panel.

The unit’s four-inch touchscreen display is new and features Conair’s common control interface, a change that makes user training easier by providing the same look, feel and interactions as on other Conair auxiliaries. Users may select from a menu of configurable loading functions that include ratio, volume-fill, purge, and positive discharge. Context-sensitive help information is available in every screen display to simplify all aspects of setup, operation, and troubleshooting.

PowerFill Pro vacuum conveying units are engineered for long life with minimal maintenance. Key components of the unit are contained in a sturdy metal cabinet, mounted atop twin steel legs and a heavy-duty base. The steel base of the unit can function as a mounting bracket which anchors directly to the floor, or can be equipped with four optional, caster wheels (two lockable) that allow for easy movement and repositioning.

Inside, the PowerFill Pro can be equipped with any of four vacuum pump options, starting with the popular 6.2 HP (4.6 kW) single-stage pump, or any of three, higher-capacity dual-stage pumps – 6.2 HP (4.6 kW), 11.5 HP (8.6 kW), or 16.9 HP (12.6 kW) – to meet greater throughput and distance requirements. All pumps are driven by three-phase direct-drive, brushless motors that require no oiling and have no belts to maintain. An optional idle-mode valve allows the vacuum pump to continue running at idle speed between loading cycles to reduce the number of stop-start cycles and prolong pump life.

All units also include enlarged dust filters that can be removed without the need for tools, making cleaning or filter replacement a snap. Should additional dust-collection capacity be needed, optional Cyclone or DC1 Dust Collectors offer bolt-on dust control solutions.
