Dyna-Purge® introduces its New ‘E4’ grade engineered dual-action high-temp purging compound. This innovative product features our proprietary 4X technology enabling the processor to purge safely, effectively and efficiently at high-temperature with improved purging performance and thermal stability.
The Dyna-Purge® Div. of Shuman Plastics, Inc. Depew (Buffalo) NY 14043 (USA) introduces its New “E4” grade incorporating its proprietary innovative 4X technology. The E4 grade is engineered specifically to keep pace with the polymer industry’s advancements in engineering resin, which processes at increasingly high temperatures.
Beyond the unique processing challenges high-temp resins present, they also typically require a large sourcing investment from the processor. This drives a need for efficiency, for both processing as well as for transition between colors and resin types in order to limit potential monetary loss.
Dyna-Purge® E4 features dual action purging attributes for improved scrubbing action coupled with a thermally stable carrier matrix. This matrix is engineered to withstand degradation at higher temperatures as well as to reduce smoke emissions and oxidization during shut-down and start-up phases.
E4 is safe for processors and equipment. With no added chemicals or abrasives, this product is used ‘as-is’ without need for blending with other resins or loss time due to soaking activation. It actively expands into negative flow areas and stagnation zones in the melt stream to safely and efficiently purge process equipment, removing resin, color, carbon, additives and impurities.
In line with our company’s ongoing product innovation pathway, new E4 has been extensively field tested, followed by a selective beta-launch and full-scale distribution roll-out.

New E4 is safely processed from 575°F – 715°F (302°C – 379°C). This grade is appropriate for daily resin/color transitions, preventative maintenance prior to manual cleaning and for sealing during shut-down/ start-up phases. Trial samples are available upon request.
