Aurora Material Solutions Appoints Renee Havrilla as President of its Flexible Compounds Business Segment

Aurora Material Solutions announces the appointment of Renee Havrilla as president of the company’s flexible compounds business segment. In this role, Havrilla will be responsible for developing the segment’s value creation plan (VCP) and managing profit and loss for flexible compound products. Havrilla will manage business development, technology, financial controls, and plant management for flexible compound operations. Her initial priorities include sales expansion, operational optimization across the flexible product manufacturing sites, and building a high-performing team.

Most recently, Havrilla served as vice president of the solvents business for Monument Chemical in Indianapolis, Ind. She previously held roles as vice president of global compounds for Westlake Corporation and general manager of the polyurethane spray foam business for Bayer Material Science (now Covestro).

“Renee brings more than 30 years of progressive leadership experience in specialty chemicals, with deep expertise in both flexible and rigid vinyl compounds, M&A integration, and global P&L management,” says Darrell Hughes, Aurora chief executive officer. “We look forward to the positive impact she will bring to our flexible compounds business segment.”

Havrilla holds a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry from the University of Pittsburgh.
