Neutrex, Inc. Appoints John R. Haag as President/CEO

Press release submitted on behalf of Neutrex.

Neutrex, Inc., Houston, Texas, a manufacturer of Purgex™ commercial purging compounds, has formally announced the appointment of John R. Haag as its new President and Chief Executive Officer. Haag played an integral role in the founding of Neutrex in 1992 and served the company for three decades as General Counsel and as a primary advisor on technical, business and legal matters.

Haag has an extensive background in technology, industry, business management and law. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering and Nuclear Engineering from the University of California at Berkeley, and has experience with chemical, water treatment, nuclear power, and manufacturing plants. Haag also earned a Juris Doctor degree from the University of California College of the Law in San Francisco. He was a partner at the international law firm now known as Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman, often representing manufacturers in product performance and intellectual property disputes. Haag also co-founded and managed two other law firms, where he handled a wide range of business matters.

Neutrex is a Haag family-owned enterprise headquartered in Houston, Texas. The company manufactures 14 grades of Purgex® sold in over 40 countries and has been the recipient of Presidential awards for exporting excellence from the Bush and Obama Administrations.

Haag’s objective is to expand the legacy of his father, Arthur P. Haag, who invented Purgex and operated Neutrex for over 30 years. He stated: “Two of the greatest honors in my life will be to accept my father’s posthumous induction into the Plastics Hall of Fame before the opening of the 2024 National Plastics Exhibition convention in May, and to lead Neutrex in its continuing mission to provide plastic molders around the world with efficient and effective solutions for the removal of contamination and residual color.”
