US Trade Representative Announces Reinstatement of US Tariff Exclusions

The US Trade Representative announced March 24 the reinstatement of 352 exclusions from Section 301 tariffs. Some items included in the reinstated tariff exclusions are industrial goods such as mechanical and electrical products, vehicle components, printing circuit boards, chemicals and more. These products comprise much of the $370 billion in imports from China onto which the Trump administration imposed tariffs.

The reinstated exclusions are retroactive to October 12, 2021, and will be in effect through the end of 2022. Products eligible for tariff exemption or tariff return must meet a few conditions. For more information, visit www.plantemoran.com.
