Supply chain disruptions have occurred at an unprecedented rate during the last couple of years. It’s a significant problem with many moving parts, and there is no one single solution to it. However, American-based additive manufacturing company Next Chapter Manufacturing, has announced its attempt to battle the challenge with a way to accelerate the injection molding process.
“Mold in a Day” (MIAD) is made with a durable, reinforced photopolymer. MIAD was created using 3D printing technology and is treated with proprietary coating that offers durability and longevity. As a result, difficult-to-use resins and engineered resins can be used to produce an average of 2,000 parts off one set of inserts.
Next Chapter Manufacturing’s transformative technology, MIAD, was previewed at the Plastics Technology Expo 2022, which took place in Rosemont, Illinois, from March 29 through 31. For more information, visit www.nxcmfg.com.
