Extruded plastic sheet products producer GOEX Corporation, Janesville, Wisconsin, broke ground recently, marking the start of construction of an additional manufacturing facility on a 20 acre site in southwestern Utah. The new 125,000 sq. ft. extrusion facility in Cedar City, Utah, is in a successful manufacturing cluster that is part of the West’s regional transportation network.
By adding an extrusion facility in Utah with similar design to the current GOEX plant in Janesville, Wisconsin, GOEX will integrate standardized equipment and procedures that enable them to provide short lead times, increase capacity and reach more customers in the markets they serve.
With an expected completion date of December 2021, the new facility will have full extrusion, warehouse, slitting and rail spur capability. Like the Janesville plant, the Cedar City facility will be environmentally controlled and operationally certified to current standards for ISO 9001, FSSC22000 and IMS.
