Tooling Tech Group Announces Completion of TTG Automation Expansion

Tooling Tech Group, Macomb, Michigan, has announced that its TTG Automation facility in Temperance, Michigan, has completed a 14,000 sq. ft. expansion, bringing the total facility size to 59,000 sq. ft. The new area includes a five-ton overhead crane system, air compressor and overhead sprinkler system.

The space was developed to handle the company’s growing business, providing additional capacity for assembling of its automated systems. TTG Automation offers design, engineering, fabrication, build, commissioning and ongoing service for a variety of automation equipment.

TTG Automation is part of the Tooling Tech Group (TTG), a provider of custom automated systems for assembly, joining and inspection as well as tooling for a variety of applications including thermoform molding, high compression composite molding, blow molding, rotational molding, die casting, and stamping. Industries served include aerospace, automotive, agricultural, appliance, cosmetic, lawn and garden, marine, medical, marine, off-road vehicles, packaging and more.

Originally founded in 1982, TTG has grown organically and through acquisitions to become the second largest tooling supplier in the US. It has more than 1 million combined sq. ft. of manufacturing space, employs approximately 600 people and has a total of 12 locations across four states, as well as a sales office in China.
