Sussex IM Announces Plans for ISO Class 8 Clean Room Addition

Sussex IM, Sussex, Wisconsin, a molding and assembly solutions provider, has announced the addition of an ISO Class 8 cleanroom to be completed later this year. The $2 million investment reflects the company’s ongoing commitment to support the ever-growing medical market complementing its ISO 13485 certification, achieved in 2018.

As the COVID-19 pandemic has ripped across the country, halting production for a wide range of products, Sussex IM has remained completely operational and set its sights on preparing for life after the pandemic. Sussex IM is actively planning to adapt to the likelihood of OEMs quickly increasing reshoring efforts in the coming months.

The plans that Sussex IM has for the cleanroom are part of a multiyear, phased approach to continue to add flexibility and increase capacity to serve the medical market.

Sussex IM maintains a culture centered on quality, complying with the International Standard of Operations, by holding ISO 14001, ISO 9001 and ISO 45001 certifications, to go with its most recent ISO 13485 certification.
