Diversified Plastics, Inc. (DPI), Minneapolis, Minnesota, a custom plastic-injection molder and digital manufacturer of high-precision components, has appointed Vincent Pope as engineering manager. Pope will be responsible for understanding customer needs, quickly identifying and optimizing profitable opportunities, and ensuring DPI is agile and easy for customers to work with.
Pope has nearly 30 years of experience serving in leadership positions in a range of industries, including 13 years in plastic-injection molding, plus computer, electronics, additive manufacturing and contract manufacturing. Prior to joining DPI, Pope was CEO/president of TMG Consulting Services, Plymouth, Minnesota. He also served as director of operations and operational excellence director at Spectralytics in Dassel, Minnesota. In addition, he held the positions of director of operations at Stratasys, Ltd. in Eden Prairie, Minnesota.; CEO/president at Taurus Engineering and Manufacturing, Inc. in St. Paul, Minnesota.; and general manager and vice president of government sales, and director of quality assurance and regulatory affairs at Minnesota Diversified Industries in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Pope received an associate’s degree in quality assurance technology from Northeast Wisconsin Technical College, Green Bay, Wisconsin.; a bachelor of arts degree from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee; and a master of business administration from the University of St. Thomas, St. Paul, Minnesota. He also received Lean Practitioner Certification and Six Sigma Training-Green Belt and Executive Overview, among other certifications.
