Viking Plastics Acquires Genesis Plastics and Engineering

Viking Plastics Acquires Genesis Plastics and Engineering

Plastics Business

Viking Plastics, an injection molding and value-added assembly service provider in Corry, Pennsylvania, recently announced its acquisition of Genesis Plastics and Engineering, LLC, a Scottsburg, Indiana-based manufacturer of automotive interiors, seating and high-precision, custom injection molded products.

With this acquisition, Viking Plastics adds to its current line of custom injection molded products and assemblies for the automotive, HVAC and industrial markets. This new partnership expands Viking’s expertise and customers, and it also incorporates Genesis’ capabilities to manufacture new tools.

Established in 1995, Genesis is IATF certified and shares Viking Plastics’ commitment to providing highly reliable products that accurately meet customer specifications. “I am excited that Genesis is now part of Viking Plastics,” said Genesis President Jim Gladden. “Our culture, business combination and focus on exceptional quality makes this a great partnership.”

Viking Plastics President/CEO Kelly Goodsel agrees.

“We are just as excited to partner with Jim Gladden and the Genesis team. Their commitment to quality, customer satisfaction and continuous improvement align with our values. This will allow us to deliver what our collective customers need,” said Goodsel. “Our partnership will enable us to provide a wider range of quality products to our current customers and position us to better service new customers.”

Viking Plastics is a portfolio company of Spell Capital. Viking purchased Kentucky Manufacturing & Technology in April 2017.
