DeKALB Molded Plastics, a structural foam molder in Butler, IN, was recently honored for excellent cash and inventory management and a strong commitment to its employees.

Nominations from a group of suppliers and a customer made DeKALB a finalist for the 2012 Processor of the Year at the annual PlasticsNews Executive forum. The company was nominated by suppliers Kibbechem, FGL Precision Works and Plastic Soutions and customer Trinity and CPA Baden, Gage and Schroeder.

DeKALB implemented an employee wellness program that was the brain-child of Kassy Davis, human resource manager. In addition, President Rick Walters honors each of the 130 employees on their anniversary by sharing a breakfast, lunch or dinner. Employees also are encouraged to participate in local charitable activities.
