RJG Releases Cavity Pressure Sensor

RJG Releases Cavity Pressure Sensor

Plastics Business

SUBMITTED

RJG’s mm cavity pressure sensor allows customers to measure cavity pressure to improve quality and reduce costs.

The 6mm cavity pressure sensor from RJG, Inc., Traverse City, Michigan, is ideal for high-cavitation molds with small, tightly packed ejector pins. It allows customers to measure cavity pressure to improve quality and reduce costs.

The 6mm sensor is a robust, indirect (under the pin) pressure sensor that works in conjunction with the eDART System™ to assist molders in diagnosing processes and automatically sorting suspect parts. The 6mm sensor head is the smallest strain gage sensor available, permitting the use in molds that may have tight clusters of pins with limited room. Two models are available; one is rated to 50lbs for use with the ejector pins up to 2mm diameter, and the other is rated to 250lbs for pins up to 4.5mm diameter. The latter model will be available in the coming months.
