Chase Plastics Continues Tradition of Giving

In a season set in traditions, Chase Plastics of Clarkston, Michigan, continues to create its own with the return of the company’s successful “Giving Card” campaign. The unique holiday program resumes this year — even bigger and better — by recognizing and awarding a selected charitable organization nominated by Chase customers and suppliers. Participants are encouraged to share their own stories of giving, and in turn, Chase Plastics will select the most compelling submission and award a $2,000 gift to the chosen entrant’s favorite charity.

During the program, which began Nov. 14, Chase customers and suppliers are invited to visit to submit a short response on what “benevolence means to them,” as well as a description of the charity they are passionate about. The final day to submit the entry is Monday, Dec. 11, with the selected charity announced Dec. 15. Chase Plastics also will share the stories and provide information about how to become involved with the charitable organizations on their social media platforms.

The Giving Card program was introduced in 2016 and received overwhelming response in that first year. The decision to name one winning entrant proved to be difficult, so three organizations received $1,000 each: Party for a Purpose in Monticello, Minnesota; Life Center Northwest in Bellevue, Washington; and Children’s Oncology Group Foundation in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

“It is an honor to have such supportive customers and suppliers. Last year, we were overwhelmed with the number of entries submitted. It truly is heartwarming to see so many lend a helping hand during this season,” said Chase Plastics President Kevin Chase. “It is a part of our company culture to express our charitable efforts to help others, and I am so proud to know that our employees, customers and suppliers have impacted the lives of so many.”

In 2017, Chase Plastics’ list of philanthropic efforts include:

  • VTO days, where employees take a day to volunteer at a charity of choice
  • American Red Cross Hurricane Relief
  • Habitat for Humanity
  • JDRF Ride to Cure Diabetes
  • Blessings in a Backpack
  • Sponsors of Boys and Girls Club of South Bend, Indiana
  • American Cancer Society
  • Lighthouse Adopt-a-Family
