Chase Plastics, Clarkston, Michigan, recently commemorated 25 years of success, partnerships and outrageous customer service during an event at The Amway Grand Hotel in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Chase team members celebrated the company’s standing as a top-ten leader in the industry: an achievement that Chase Plastics’ CEO Kevin Chase attributed directly to relationships built from providing exceptional customer service. “Our hallmark ‘outrageous service’ has helped to shape this company,” he said. “It, along with our culture, has been the foundation for our partnerships and the cornerstone of our success.”

In 1992, Kevin and Carole Chase set out with a $2,500 investment and a mission that still stands today: to fill a need for plastic processors with quality specialty, engineering and commodity thermoplastics for small- to medium-sized applications with phenomenal customer service.

Named as Plastics News’ #1 Best Places to Work in 2016, it’s evident that Chase invests in, and values, its 122 employees. “Our team is the best in the industry,” said Gustina Sell, human resources director. “They’re passionate about serving our customers. And we’re passionate about equipping them with resources that empower them and promoting from within.”

Over the course of the three-day anniversary celebrations on the tail-end of their International Sales Meeting, the emphasis on service and teamwork remained in the forefront. Teambuilding exercises included mixology competitions at the Grand Rapids Market, outdoor activities at the Grand Rapids Treetop Adventure Park and John Ball Zoo, and an excursion to the Frederick Meijer Gardens. Topping off the event, distinguished guests and employees enjoyed the grand Anniversary Gala dinner followed by live entertainment from Detroit-based country singer Gary Garris.
