PolyOne Corporation, Avon Lake, OH, has developed new metal replacement solutions and thermoplastic elastomers for sealing applications to help manufacturers effectively and economically increase fuel efficiency, reduce carbon dioxide emissions and improve manufacturing efficiencies.

The specialty materials include Therma-Tech™, GLS™ TPE, OnColor™ and low-temperature Geon™ VBX. The solutions meet OEM low temperature requirements and can provide production efficiency improvements of 15 percent or more.
