Tech Molded Plastics, Inc., Meadville, PA, was named Processor of the Year at an award reception during the 2014 Plastics News Executive Forum in Wesley Chapel, FL.
The company won the award over two other custom injection molders, AMA Plastics Inc., Riverside, CA, and Protoplast Inc., Cobourg, Ontario, Canada. Tech Molded Plastics scored high marks from the judges on all the criteria, and was especially strong in four of the categories audited: financial performance, employee relations, technology and industry and public service.
During the Executive Forum, 10 companies also were recognized as a “best place to work” in Plastics News‘ inaugural awards program designed to identify and honor the US and Canadian plastics industry’s best employers. MAPP-member companies on the list include: Plastikos and Micro Mold of Erie, PA (injection molder); Reschcor of Elkhart, IN (profile extruder); Team 1 Plastics Inc. of Albion, MI (injection molder); and Plastic Components Inc. of Germantown, WI (injection molder).
