R&D Molders Earns Environmental Stewardship Award

R&D Molders, Inc. replaced a legacy lighting systems at its facility in Georgetown, TX.
Orion Energy Systems recently awarded R&D Molders, Inc. with an Environmental Stewardship Award for its work in replacing a legacy lighting system at its facility in Georgetown, TX. The projects energy conservation equates to planting 39 acres of trees annually.
R&D replaced a system consisting of 1,000W high-intensity discharge fixtures and T12 fluorescent fixtures with Orions T8 fluorescent fixtures. The project is expected to save $18,694 annually with an energy reduction of 210,029kW/hour. It also improves the light level by 281.3 percent and reduces annual carbon dioxide emission by 128 tons. Energy Solutions of Texas nominated R&D for the award.
