$1M Investment Expands Capacity at Plastikos and Micro Mold

$1M Investment Expands Capacity at Plastikos and Micro Mold

Plastikos and Micro Mold, Erie, PA-based molding and moldmaking companies, are investing $1 million in capital expenditures to increase cleanroom molding and precision moldmaking capacity, as well as other initiatives to provide better quality and service to their customers.

As medical work approaches an all-time high, Plastikos is expanding its cleanroom capacity with the addition of an 88-ton Arburg cleanroom molding press, which increases molding capacity by 50 percent. Micro Mold plans to increase efficiency and quality tooling production through a sizeable investment in automation and robotics. This will allow the company to provide more 3D EDM work and lights-out operations.
