Hey, everyone! We’ve made it to December. My Christmas tree is already up, and most of my presents have been purchased. The holidays won’t look quite the same this year – which just follows the theme for all of 2020 – but I’m looking forward to it all the same. The end of the year is a good time to take a deep breath and get ready for a flurry of new activity when the new year starts.
And I think much of the industry is riding a wave of optimism about 2021. It looks like conferences and tradeshows will slowly start coming back, and I can’t wait to see your faces in person at NPE in Orlando and at other events throughout the year. I miss handshakes and hugs and long conversations over a glass of wine. That human connection is what I’ve missed most, and I can’t wait to get back to the craziness that travel always brings.
As we close out the last month of 2020, I want to say thank you – thank you for reading Plastics Business magazine and for picking up the phone when I call and want your help with an article. Thank you to the companies who advertise in our magazine and thank you to the readers who call those suppliers first when contemplating a purchase decision. Thank you to our partners at MAPP – the Manufacturers Association for Plastics Processors. And a personal thank you to the team here at Peterson Publications. There’s a group of graphic designers, writers, editors, sales directors, web designers and more behind every issue of the magazine, and I couldn’t do it without them.
Happy Holidays, everyone. Make it merry.
