Viking Plastics, Corry, Pennsylvania, has announced that Shawn Gross has been named vice president of culture and business development.
Gross has been with Viking Plastics for more than 10 years and has taken a leadership role in the company’s Lean initiative – a nearly 10-year journey of ongoing improvement and culture transformation at Viking. One of the ways he has led the initiative is acting as an instructor for Viking Academy, a 12-class program with a mission of developing a culture of continuous improvement through education, engagement and enthusiasm for improvement practices.
Within this role, Gross will work with the sales and marketing team to attract and retain new customers, as well as connect with and support existing customers. His team also will assist the operations team in integrating new manufacturing work into the business workflow.
