The 2019 annual survey of compensation opens online January 15, 2019, produced by SPE-Inspiring Plastics Professionals, a Bethel, Connecticut-based worldwide organization of plastics professionals, and professional services firm MBS Advisors of Florence, Massachusetts. Last year, almost 2,000 participants contributed information, which resulted in findings such as these:
- Base salary and total cash compensation improved in the 2018 survey after three years of declines.
- For the 2018 respondents, the average base salary increased 4.32% and the average total compensation improved by 6.03%.
- 2018 increases for base and total compensation are the second highest reported in the past decade – second to 2014.
This plastics industry salary survey is open to professionals in all segments of plastics processing and their suppliers. After the results are compiled, each participant of the survey will be provided with a copy of the summary results which they can utilize as a benchmark to their own compensation levels.
