PRD, Inc., a custom molder based in Springville, Indiana, has installed three ECSX all-electric injection molding machines from Toshiba Machine America. It also purchased 13 ECSX machines with delivery expected in the next two months.

Prior to its most recent purchase, PRD had 54 injection molding machines, 49 of which are Toshiba. More recent purchases have been the ECSX line of all-electric injection molding machines. The ECSX machines feature generous tie bar spacing, wide range of minimum and maximum die heights and a V50 controller.

The line also offers a wide range of shot sizes, enabling molders to shorten changeovers and move from project to project with ease. Design enhancements on the ECSX provide molders with faster dry cycle times, longer mold life, better part quality and fewer defects.
