Press release submitted on behalf of DEMGY.

DEMGY Group, an international specialist in high-performance plastics and composite solutions, will demonstrate its latest capabilities, including metal-to-plastic conversion, at Stand 6B88C at the Aircraft Interiors Expo from April 14-16 in Hamburg, Germany.
As a Tier 1 supplier to Airbus and Boeing, DEMGY Group will address three core requirements for next-generation aircraft interiors: weight reduction through advanced materials including composites and high-performance thermoplastics; functional integration that combines structural performance with passenger experience requirements; and scalable manufacturing processes including additive technologies.
Continuing to build on last year’s acquisition of Tool-Gauge, now renamed DEMGY Pacific, “DEMGY Group is augmenting its capabilities by expanding its workforce, investing in new equipment and aligning operational standards across its locations,” said DEMGY America President Mike Walter.
“We’ve expanded our capabilities on both sides of the Atlantic and are introducing DEMGY Group standards and best practices throughout the organization,” Walter explained. “With the addition of DEMGY Pacific, we have also acquired know-how in CNC machining of metal components to complement our extensive knowledge in plastic component processing and can now produce plastic and metal aircraft cabin components in-house and incorporate them into our assemblies.”
Meeting surge in demand
As the aviation industry sees significant demand for planes and OEMs turn to suppliers for more innovative design solutions, DEMGY “can support our customers’ needs as they scale up to meet that need.”
DEMGY Group has aligned several divisions with complementary capabilities under its circular Multiplasturgy® offer of technologies, he added. These capabilities run the gamut from injection molding and thermoforming to CNC machining, additive manufacturing, painting, metallizing and assembly. DEMGY can mold parts as small as 1 gram to large components that require its 1,250-ton molding press.
“We can be the full-service, one-stop-shop provider of plastic components and assemblies for aircraft interior applications” from design and material selection to trials and production.
DEMGY operations in the U.S. – DEMGY Pacific and DEMGY Chicago – are especially critical in complementing DEMGY’s global expertise.
“One thing that also sets us apart from our competition is the number of sites that can support production of aircraft components,” Walter explained. “We now have several sites in the U.S. and Europe that have this capability, which will help us to meet the expected increase in demand.”
DEMGY Pacific expertise includes thermoplastic injection molding of high-performance polymers; CNC machining of plastics and metals; codesign and subassembly manufacturing to develop customized solutions in close collaboration with clients; and state-of-the-art inspection and analysis equipment to ensure product compliance and quality.
DEMGY Pacific’s two facilities offer further specialization:
- Plastic injection molding facility: Dedicated to producing plastic parts for aircraft cabin interiors using advanced injection molding technologies to create lightweight and resistant components.
- CNC machining facility: Specializes in machining high-performance polymers and metals for aerospace applications
In the Midwest, DEMGY Chicago is a metal-to-plastic solutions provider specializing in thermoplastic injection molding of high-performance polymers. The facility caters to OEMs by manufacturing everything from simple components to highly complex assemblies in small or large quantities. Moreover, DEMGY Chicago’s state‑of‑the‑art cleanrooms ensure precision, reliability, and compliance for the most demanding aerospace applications.”
A uniquely complementary transatlantic footprint
DEMGY Group’s strength lies in the strong complementarity of its U.S. and European operations, creating a truly integrated transatlantic aerospace manufacturing platform. In the United States, DEMGY Pacific and DEMGY Chicago bring advanced expertise in high‑performance thermoplastic injection molding, CNC machining of plastics and metals, and metal‑to‑plastic conversion for aircraft interior components. These capabilities are seamlessly complemented by the European DEMGY’ plants in Germany (DEMGY EIS), in France (DEMGY Normandie & Atlantique) and in Romania (DEMGY Fagaras and Deva), which contribute deep know‑how in managing complex projects requiring injection molding, thermoforming, composite and hybrid structures, surface finishing, painting, metallization and full assembly. Together, these sites operate under shared industrial standards and a unified circular Multiplasturgy® approach, enabling DEMGY to support customers from material selection, design and industrialization and serial production—while offering flexible capacity, global resonance and consistent quality on both sides of the Atlantic.
Sustainability in the skies
These capabilities also amplify DEMGY’s “Lighter. Smarter. Greener” sustainability motto.
“We partner with our customers to work on applications that help reduce weight either through metal-to-plastic conversions or plastic part design – and we’re often able to reduce weight 10% to 30%. We also can combine composite materials in hybrid applications, selectively reinforcing parts with composites to maintain strength requirements. Ultimately, this strengthens our customers’ competitiveness by delivering lighter, high‑performance parts that meet demanding aerospace requirements”

About DEMGY Group:
DEMGY Group (previously named Dedienne Multiplasturgy® Group) is an international technology company specializing in weight reduction through its high-performance plastic and composite solutions that are lighter than metal.
In 2004, Pierre-Jean Leduc, who had managed and developed Dedienne since 1991, took over the company (founded in 1947) as Chairman & CEO in an MBO, to create DEMGY Group. Since then, DEMGY has experienced continuous growth based on innovation, internationalization and technological advancement through organic and external growth.
Following its latest acquisition in the USA in March 2025, the group became the world leader in plastic and composite components for aircraft cabins, a Tier 1 supplier to Airbus, Boeing and the largest aerospace equipment manufacturers.
With facilities in France (4 sites, including headquarters in Normandy), Germany (two sites), Romania (two sites) and the United States (two sites), the Group also has three R&D centers and sales offices in England and Israel.
In 2025, DEMGY achieved revenues of $144 million, 7% of which was reinvested in R&D and industrial equipment and employed 900 people. DEMGY is forecasting revenues of $230 million and a headcount of 1,400 by 2030.
