Press release submitted on behalf of LS Mtron.

Duluth, GA – LS Mtron Injection Molding Machines has expanded its Chicago Technical Center in Wood Dale, Illinois, taking over the entire building after sharing the space since 2018.

The expansion aligns with the company’s plans to expand its North American market share to 20% in 2026.
LS Mtron has converted its additional space to accommodate growing customer service demands. The company will expand its existing engineering, project management, sales and service departments with the additional space.
Stock injection molding machines are being housed in the additional space to serve customers faster. The facility will eventually host open houses and training functions.
LS Mtron IMM’s Chicago presence can be traced back to when former president Peter Gardner began representing LS Mtron through Daiichi Jitsugyo America (DJA). In 2017, he identified LS Mtron to replace the Niigata line of equipment for DJA and later led LS Mtron’s buyout of the DJA machinery division so LS could grow faster in the U.S.
“We bought out all DJA’s plastics employees for sales, service and parts, which gave us a strong footprint right in the U.S. market,” explained LS Mtron President of Sales Paul Caprio. “That direct line to the aftermarket business in the local market was the foundation of how we reported 101% year-over-year growth in the U.S. in summer 2025.”
