Plastics solutions provider Globeius announces that is now carrying environmentally friendly vacuum burnoff ovens by Technocanto for extrusion and injection molders. The ovens break plastic residue down into harmless vapor without open flames.
Tecnocanto all-electric ovens provide a safer, cleaner and more precise way to remove plastics from molds, dies and screws. They eliminate corrosion, fumes and downtime without combustion.
Vacuum burnoff pyrolysis removes baked-on plastics without exposing metal parts to open flames or harsh chemicals, avoiding corrosion and overcooking. Cleaning cycles range from two to six hours depending on contamination level.
Here’s how Tecnocanto ovens achieve plastic breakdown without the open flames common in traditional approaches:
- Contaminated parts are loaded, and a preprogrammed cleaning setting is chosen.
- The chamber is sealed, and air is removed to create a controlled vacuum environment.
- The oven heats to 350 to 500 degrees F; plastic residue is broken down into harmless vapors and solid char without igniting.
- Vapors are drawn through an integrated afterburner system that safely oxidizes gases. This ensures clean “white” emissions and compliance with environmental standards.
- Ash and char residue can be easily brushed or blown off the oven’s filters once they cool.
Operators have full control over cleaning profiles and cycle timing with the easy-to-use touchscreen PLC interface.
