Plastics industry solutions provider Globeius is pleased to announce it has acquired Plastixs LLC of Shrewsbury, Massachusetts, a leading distributor and manufacturer in the plastics and other industries. As of Thursday, October 10, 2024, Globeius Inc. has officially acquired all assets of the company. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
Mickey Blyskal, former owner of Plastixs, will stay on as General Manager of the new entity, as will all current Plastixs employees. He and his team will continue to manage day-to-day operations, ensuring a smooth transition with no disruption or major changes in the company’s strategy.

Mickey Blyskal, former owner of Plastixs, said “As the founder and owner of Plastixs for the last 25 years, this transition marks an important turning point for the future and growth of our company. Both companies have unique strengths and product lines, serving a very broad customer base in the United States, Canada, Mexico, and Central and South America. I am looking forward to leading Plastixs into a new era of growth through the combined strengths of both companies.”
Since its founding, Globeius has been involved with, and has an expertise in the import-export of products. This gives Plastixs an opportunity to offer its products outside of the US market, particularly in Latin America, a region where Plastixs has not traditionally been active. Likewise, Plastixs has served the US and Canadian markets for 25 years, and their strength and sales reach in this region will strongly benefit Globeius.
“Globeius has a sales organization established in Mexico and Latin America which will give Plastixs immediate sales exposure in those areas,” said David Sosa, Sales Manager for Globeius.
Although Globeius and Plastixs sell some common products, both companies bring special products and expertise which they can cross sell, said Ernie Sosa. From the Globeius side some important products are GT Cranes, Mold Racks, and Crizaf Conveyors. From the Plastixs side, important products include:
- specialized manifold assemblies, hose, hose assemblies and fittings for handling high-temperature water (250-450F) and oil (250-550F) used for molding many high-performance engineered resins
- a patented LinkedXValve water manifold accessory that is popular with processors running large numbers of water circuits on their molds
- high performance material handling hose that exceeds the temperature range and abrasion resistance currently used by most processors.
