Central Plastics Fuels Growth Through Enhanced Capabilities and Sustainable Investments

Press release submitted on behalf of Central Plastics.

Central Plastics, Tracy, California, a leader in custom plastic injection molding and thermoforming packaging solutions, continues to elevate its capabilities through a series of strategic investments following the successful expansion of its facility in 2022.

Central Plastics’ $12 million expansion allowed the company to expand its footprint to more than 60,000 square feet and double its equipment. This includes the addition of injection blow molding to its capabilities, aligning with the company’s focus on better serving customers in the EV, solar, medical, and aerospace industries.

As a certified green business, Central Plastics is prioritizing sustainability efforts with its expansion. In December 2021, the company invested $1 million to install a state-of-the-art solar panel system on the facility’s rooftop. With nearly 1,300 panels, this clean energy solution enables Central Plastics to generate 80-90% of its electricity and has many benefits. “Utilizing clean energy helps us lower the cost of operating the business, which allows us to offer our customers more competitive pricing,” says Hiren Patel, President of Central Plastics. The solar panels also provide a reliable power source, ensuring uninterrupted operations even during power outages.

In addition, Central Plastics is replacing much of its old equipment with new processing equipment that is all energy efficient or hybrid. The company has plans to replace all older injection molding machines by the end of next year with newer, energy-efficient presses.

The expansion of Central Plastics’ and its capabilities is complemented by the substantial growth of its team. Since 2020, the company has tripled its workforce. It recently added two new positions, and the company expects to create more job opportunities by the end of the year.

Furthermore, Central Plastics has recently updated its look with new branding, a fresh logo, and an updated website. These enhancements mirror the company’s strengths and capabilities and represent its dedication to continuous progress and innovation.

Central Plastics’ strategic investments in expansion, capacity, sustainability, and team growth, along with its refreshed look and website, exemplify the company’s dedication to delivering high-quality products and services to its customers. With a customer-centric approach, a skilled team, and a commitment to sustainability and cutting-edge technology, Central Plastics continues to set new standards in the plastics industry.
