Paulson Training Programs, Inc., Chester, Connecticut, kicked off a new season of its popular SimTech Injection Molding Challenges, where each month injection molders from all over the world compete and test their molding skill for a chance to earn the championship title of “top injection molder”. This year marks four years since the first set of challenges was introduced at the 2018 NPE show. New this year, Paulson introduced a winning company category where every month companies who have three or more employees participating will have a chance to place in the top three winning spots.
The winners of the February 2022 challenge were recently released with former champion Johnny Ash, Preformed Line Products, attempting to regain his championship title lost in 2021 to Alexandru Crai from OMS Besser Group. February’s challenge was considered “high-difficulty” as each monthly challenge varies between high, medium and low difficulty giving everyone with all levels of molding skill a chance to participate. Winners are broadcast each month via email campaigns and posted to the Paulson Training website, and each post spotlights a featured injection molding set-up as well as winning techniques identified by the expert challenge developers.
