Germantown, Wisconsin-based Plastic Components, Inc. (PCI), a medium- to high-volume plastic injection molding company focused on automation, technology and innovative manufacturing processes, has announced it has acquired two TOYO presses and will take receipt of a third after NPE2018: The Plastics Show, which takes place May 7-11 in Orlando, Florida. The third of the new presses will be on display at NPE2018 in Maruka USA’s booth, W911.

The press will showcase PCI’s expanded capabilities to produce highly-customized, medium- to high-volume injection molded parts. In conjunction with Maruka USA, Star Automation, Colors for Plastics and other partners, booth visitors will witness the press in action while it molds an engineered golf accessories component offered as a complimentary takeaway.

“TOYO and Maruka USA have been key strategic vendors that have positively influenced PCI’s growth, capabilities, and capacities over the years,” said Gene Mussel, operations manager for Plastic Components, Inc. “We are excited about the acquisition of two new presses already in house with the third following NPE2018, and look forward to expanding capacity, technology and engineering offerings for our customers.”

The addition of the TOYO presses brings PCI’s fully-automated molding cell total to 67, encompassed within two facilities totaling more than 78,000 square feet of production space.
