SUMMARY:North American International Auto Show 2021
DESCRIPTION:Now in its 32nd year as an international event\, the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) is one of the most influential annual automotive events in the world. NAIAS is where future mobility innovations start. With the largest concentration of the world’s top automotive and technology executives\, designers\, engineers and thought leaders\, NAIAS serves as the global stage for companies to debut brand-defining vehicles\, offer product ride-and-drives and announce industry-shaping plans.  Starting in 2021\, the reimagined show will be held in September\, allowing exhibitors to take advantage of indoor and outdoor venues. NAIAS is the only event of its kind to present seven unique shows in one\, including: Motor Bella\, celebrating British and Italian luxury car brands; The Gallery\, an ultra-luxury automotive event; AutoMobili-D\, an inside look at future mobility platforms; Press Preview\, an opportunity for automakers to debut new products and technology; Industry Preview\, a one-of-a-kind networking opportunity; Charity Preview\, the largest single-night fundraiser across the globe; and then concluding with an eight-day Public Show.

SUMMARY:Solve Sink Marks from the Plastics Point of View
DESCRIPTION:  \nInjection molders! Do you have that “sinking” feeling when you encounter sink marks? Then join us for this month’s FREE webinar topic\, “How to Solve Sink Marks from the Plastics Point of View.” \nIn this presentation\, as part of our popular series of FREE monthly SimTech™ webinars\, we will review the nature of sink marks. Sink Marks are depressions on the surface of the part. How do they occur? When the plastic in the mold cools\, it shrinks. In thick sections\, like where ribs and bosses meet the shrinkage can be enough to form a depression on the wall of the part. As the part continues to cool\, molecules inside move closer together\, and the plastic shrinks causing an internal stress that tries to collapse the surface of the molded part which eventually creates sink marks. How to avoid and solve this problem? Join our expert instructor\, Todd Bryant as he examines the effects on plastic that can cause sink marks and show you how to practice solving this problem utilizing our SimTech injection molding simulator. \nSign up or learn more at www.paulsontraining.com.
