Milacron Introduces Interactive Tech Manual

Plastics Business

SUBMITTED

Milacron, Batavia, OH, has released an Interactive Technical Manual for use on laptops and tablet computers.

An Interactive Technical Manual, a tool for laptops and tablet computers that makes it easier to keep plastic processing equipment operating at peak performance, has been developed by Milacron. The Batavia, OH-based company offers the ITM standard with all new MagnaŽ T Servo injection molding machines, with support for more platforms coming early this year.

The interactive machine hydraulic schematics display a graphical representation of each functional cycle stage. Innovative troubleshooting flow diagrams assist technicians in determining which component is creating the problem, offer recommendations for resolving the issue and aid in determining the correct part number.

Milacron collaborated with ServTek on the project. The ITM comes with training videos to help processors deal with a widening skills gap.
